A Letter From Our 2026 – 2027 President, Nichole DuShane

Welcome to the 94th year of the Junior League of Greater Lakeland!
On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you for being part of the JLGL family. We are excited to begin another year of friendship, service, leadership, and impact alongside each of you.
This year is filled with opportunity. Opportunity to grow as leaders, build meaningful connections, serve our community, and make a lasting difference. Our members are the heart of this organization, and everything we do begins with the passion, talent, and dedication you bring to our League.
Throughout the year, you’ll find new ways to engage, connect, and give back through community projects focused on clothing needs, literacy access, and children’s wellness. Whether you’re stepping into a leadership role, volunteering at a project, supporting a fundraiser, or simply building relationships with fellow members, your involvement helps move our mission forward.
Our Funding Committee is also working to strengthen and diversify our revenue through grants, partnerships, and signature events, including the Little Black Dress campaign, The Art of Tablescaping, and Party on the Lawn at Mayfaire. These efforts ensure we can continue investing in impactful community programs while developing women leaders who create positive change.
As we celebrate 94 years of service and leadership, we also look ahead with excitement and purpose. Together, we will honor our legacy, embrace new opportunities, and make this a year of meaningful impact for our League and our community.
