The Junior League of Greater Lakeland announces the 2nd annual Little Black Dress Initiative, benefiting the Greater Lakeland community. This event is part of the League’s Clothe the Community initiative, where we are collaborating with schools and other organizations to develop a sustainable model for clothes and resources distribution. This 5-day social media initiative harnesses the networks of our members to raise awareness of poverty of our community’s children and teens, illustrates how limited resources affect daily life, and raises funds to Clothe our Community by providing school uniforms, socks, underwear, and bras for our children and teens in poverty.
How can YOU help?
2. Donate to our Little Black Dress Initiative! A full backpack (school uniform, backpack to keep, pack of socks, pack of underwear, toiletry kit, and more) can be sponsored for $50, but every little bit helps! As little as $5 can gift a new pack of socks to a child in need.
3) Tell your friends! Spreading the word is what LBDI is all about!
