FAQs

Becoming A Member

We have posted a few commonly asked questions about joining our League.

I have a full-time job, can I still become a member?
Yes! 75% of our volunteers hold regular full-time jobs. We have volunteer activities available in the evenings and on weekends. We also have projects that take place during the day.

Why should I volunteer with the JLGL versus other organizations?
Current volunteers speak of the meaningful impact they feel they have in the community and their ability to contribute in a structured, well-organized environment. Volunteers also benefit from training in a variety of educational and leadership programs. And, our members also enjoy the opportunity to work with a diverse and talented group of women.

What kinds of women participate in your League?
We are most proud of our diversity. Our organization attracts women of differing racial, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds. Our membership includes doctors, lawyers, CEOs, full-time mothers, teachers, entrepreneurs and more.

How do I find out more?
We accept applications once a year for new member training which begins each fall. To request a new member application email us at provisionals@jlgl.org.
